Hi, my name is Kelli!
I am the founder of Be the Light Concierge Service. I started this business out of a deep passion for helping others and a desire to serve in a meaningful way. Over the past five years, I had the privilege of caring for both of my parents as they each faced serious illnesses. During that time, I discovered that my true calling is to help people—this gift of service brings me joy and gives my life purpose.
As a wife and mother to five wonderful children, I take great pride in watching them grow into successful adults—four of whom are currently in college or have already graduated. My professional experience spans 17 years as an office manager and bookkeeper at a veterinary clinic. However, after both of my parents passed away, I found myself with a sense of emptiness. I had spent so much time helping them with daily tasks, from running errands to accompanying them to appointments, that I realized I needed a way to continue offering that same support to others.
In my work at the veterinary clinic, I began noticing the challenges faced by individuals who could no longer drive themselves to appointments, or were recovering from a surgery or illness, or just simply didn’t have anyone to help them. This inspired me to expand my focus from pets to people, recognizing that many could benefit from assistance in managing everyday tasks. That’s when I decided to launch Be the Light Concierge Service.
Through this service, I aim to support seniors who wish to maintain their independence but need help with physical tasks, individuals recovering from illness or surgery, people who need transportation to appointments, and busy parents who simply need more time to focus on their families.
My mission is to be a light for others, as stated in Matthew 5:16, and to help make life easier while giving all the glory to God. Whether it’s organizing a space, grocery shopping, running errands, assisting with holiday preparations, taking pets to appointments, or simply offering companionship through conversation or prayer, I am here to help!
